Born in Kilumbu in 1952. He came to Kinshasa in the '70's to study. He opened his studio of publicity in 1976 under the name PubliSimaro. The painter Lusavuvu worked several years in his workshop. The mythology, the folk tales, but above all the experiences are the principal sources of his inspiration. The hard reality of public transport is one of his favourite subjects. "I have a lot to tell" he says "that is the reason I sign 'Prophète Sim Simaro'".
Né à Kilumbu en 1952. Arrive à Kinshasa début des années '70 pour poursuivre ses études. Ouvre son atelier de peintures publicitaires en juin 1976 sous le nom de PubliSimaro. Le peintre Lusavuvu travaillera pendant plusieurs années dans son atelier. La mythologie, les légendes mais surtout la réalité vécue sont ses principales sources d'inspiration. La dure réalité des transports en commun est un de ses thèmes favoris. ´J'ai beaucoup à raconter, dit-il: 'c'est pour cela que je signe Prophète Sim Simaro'. |
